Welcome to the March 17th District Staff Development Day for grades Pre-K to 6th. 

A few details for the day:

  • Our PreK teachers will be joining us in the afternoon, after attending PD with their CCI colleagues.  
  • Our Art and Music teachers will be participating in the  MALI conference at Hebron Station School.
  • Our PE teachers will be working with their department at the HS
  • Our 6th-8th grade Math Teachers will be working on site with Charlie Newquist, our CMP3 staff developer for the day.

Please bring your laptop (essential!),

District Staff Development at Paris Elementary onFriday, October 7thfrom8:00-3:00at Paris Elementary School. The bulk of you will be engaged in Round 2 of Math Training forInvestigations and CMP.  Here is a link to  October 7th math questions, a doc for you to post any questions for the trainers. Please post your questions byWednesday so that I can give the trainers some time to plan.  


More information will follow regarding 5/6 Humanities, Specialists and GT, PreK, Coaches/Interventionists, and Special Ed teachers not involved in math training. Teachers who teach all subjects for 5th or 6th grade should attend the math training.  

Reading Recovery Teachers  will meet as a group at the Paris School at 8:00am in Lynn's room. The agenda is on google drive.

Greetings Everyone,

  • Grade 5/6 Humanities and self-contained 5th or 6th grade teachers will be with Heather. Coaches will join us for some of this work. Detailed agenda to follow.
  • Interventionists/coaches will be with Melanie and Lynn Curran-Sargent (our new RR teacher leader)
  • PreK Teachers will work with their Head Start Partners (see email from last week)
  • Math Coaches will be working with K-6 teachers of math who missed the math training
  • Specialists will be with their departments (at the High School with Department Heads)
  • I hope that is everyone. I know you will tell me if I missed you:)
Everyone, of course, should bring their computer. Here's what else you need:
  • 5th and 6th grade teachers working with me should bring their DBQ binders, the first unit from your UoS kit, any strategies you would like to share about getting to know your students as readers in the first 6 weeks, and anything that would be helpful for planning time.
  • Anyone who will be doing math training should bring their first unit from Investigations.
  • Interventionists/coaches should bring whatever Lynn told you to bring
